Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 July 2026
1. Who we are
Almighty Schools Ltd ("Almighty", "we", "us") provides school management software to private schools primarily operating in Nigeria. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and what rights you have. If you are a parent or student, the school you interact with is the data controller for records about you; Almighty is the data processor acting on their instructions.
2. Information we collect
- Account data — name, email, phone, role (admin, teacher, parent, student).
- Student records — admission number, class, date of birth, guardian contacts, photograph (if uploaded), attendance, scores, fee balance, payment history.
- Staff records — employment role, subjects taught, classes assigned.
- Content you upload — proof-of-payment documents, results, announcements, messages, exam questions and responses.
- Technical data — IP address, browser, device type, and pages visited, used for security and to keep the service running.
3. How we use it
- To operate the platform: display class lists, publish results, record payments, deliver notifications.
- To secure accounts and detect abuse.
- To improve the product using aggregated, non-identifying usage patterns.
- To communicate service updates and support responses.
We do not sell personal data. We do not use student data to train third-party AI models.
4. Who can see what
Access is scoped by role. Parents only see records for their own children. Teachers only see classes they are assigned to. School administrators see all records within their school. Almighty staff access customer data only when strictly needed for support, bug investigation, or legal compliance, and always under confidentiality obligations.
5. Storage & security
Data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. We enforce row-level access control at the database layer so a signed-in user can only read rows their role permits. Passwords are hashed; we cannot see them.
6. Retention
Student and financial records are kept for as long as the school subscribes to the service, plus a short archival window after cancellation to allow data export. Schools may request deletion of a specific record at any time, subject to Nigerian regulatory requirements (e.g. financial records may need to be retained for statutory periods).
7. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of records about you. Parents and students should contact their school directly first (the school is the controller). If the school does not resolve the request you may contact us at privacy@almightyschools.ng. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
8. Children
The platform holds records about children as part of normal school operations. Children under 18 do not create accounts on their own — a parent, guardian, or school administrator does so on their behalf.
9. Changes
We will update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced in-app to school administrators at least 14 days before taking effect.
